Japanese barberry 'Harlequin'

Berberis are deciduous, cold resistant, bee friendly shrubs. Reaches a height of 1m. to 1.5 m. Grows in any well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Thin bronze-green leaves become purple with colder weather. Can be grown at shade, but the color is better if it is grown in full sun. The plant needs plenty of water on hot sunny days. This is a very adaptable shrub that is tolerant of urban conditions.
